In this chapter, Danish teaches Monica how to use her first foci, the Seeker. Monica was so proud of her accomplishment that she shared a pic of the magical device.

The Seeker is a foci, or an enchanted item meant to aid in a mages' work. A piece of something may be placed inside the seeker and with a bit of focus, the seeker can guide a mage to the whole the piece came from. Monica makes great use of her seeker by using it to track down lost pets after collecting some of their fur from their owners.
