Chapter 2: The Guild
Alex discovers she has somehow acquired an unusual ability since her waking. Under certain circumstances, it now seems she is able to create portals that are capable of sending her, and other things, short distances away, only adding to her confusion about where she is and why. None the less impressed by her unrefined power, the lulatun, Nebble Nimblegait, eagerly invites Alex to join his monster hunter's guild, though his companion, and only other member, Talah, isn't so enthusiastic about having a potentially mad mage accompanying them.
